Got a question about Artec Studio Lite?

  • How do I create 3D models in Artec Studio Lite?

Simply upload any captured photos or video to Artec Studio Lite. Photos or video must be captured from all angles, as specified in the software’s tutorials. Users first get to generate a preview, then customize the area they’d like to capture, and finally create a 3D model.

  • What data types can I use?

Artec Studio Lite is compatible with most popular photo and video file types, so you can technically build 3D models using data captured with any camera-equipped device.

Check out the Artec Studio Tech Spec page for full details.

  • Who is Artec Studio Lite designed for?

Anyone can use Artec Studio Lite, but it’s especially useful as an alternative for those struggling to achieve accurate results with other photogrammetry software or low-cost 3D scanners.

  • Artec Studio Lite vs Pro: What’s the difference?

Lite is essentially a stripped back version of the same industry-leading Artec Studio software that users have come to know and love. The main difference is that Lite doesn’t include 3D scanning functionality – it only generates 3D models using photogrammetry.

Pro is the full Artec Studio package. Users can still use photogrammetry, or choose to capture higher-accuracy 3D scans for more demanding use cases, and process data to create detailed meshes for reverse engineering and inspection. There are more export file types available as well, and annual subscribers can access advanced automation features like scripting.

  • What should I choose: AS Lite Individual & Business?

In accordance with the rights and obligations listed under Artec Studio Lite’s End User License Agreement (EULA), users agree to download the correct license for their needs. The EULA agreement outlines which projects and applications are covered under each version. Artec Studio Lite Individual is strictly for personal, non-commercial usage. Artec Studio Lite Business is the correct license to use for paid/commercial projects.

Users are kindly reminded that violation of this EULA agreement by signatories may carry legal implications under applicable law.
